Chapter 0 - What is Spacing????
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before we can even dive into the guide, we need to know what Spacing even is. Is that even a verb? Is a Spacer even a noun? Well, no! Not necessarily! Not at all! Spacer is a broad term used to describe anyone who makes most of their money off of space-based subjects. Whether it be exploration, charting, shipping, treasure hunting, piloting for an Armed Force, or even something deplorable like smuggling! No matter the differences of the vocation, all Spacers have one thing in common. They're all working in the big sea of stars, and all waiting for the day they make their big score.

Chapter 1 - The Do's and Don'ts of Sector 6-11b
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you're reading this, then you've likely found yourself in a lawless little spot in space called Sector 6-11b. Welcome! This corner of the starry skies is by no means humble, or even safe! There's tons of ways you could get shot, kidnapped, manipulated, maimed, or even killed!

But don't be discouraged!! That's what this book here is for! To keep all of that from happening to you, and to become the best Spacer you could possibly be! But before you can really get to know the dangers and benefits of the sector specifically, you gotta know the basics first.

THE DO'S AND DON'TS OF SECTOR 6-11b:

• DO make friends, but be careful with what friends you make! Everyone's got something to hide. Might just be something sinister.

• DON'T wander around unprotected! A good Offense and a Good Defense keeps a Good Spacer kicking!

• DO make your ship your base of operations. With the ever-changing state of the sector, any base on a planet has the risk of being totally wrecked!

• DON'T start what you can't finish! Picking a fight with anyone here could have unforseen consequences!

• DO trust your gut! Your gut is your best friend! Trust your Spacer's intuition!

• DON'T tell anyone you don't trust about your loot! When you find a good stash of pixels, or a weapons cache that was lost in a derelict ship, the lst thing you want is a bunch of other people going for your hard-earned loot!

• DO have a backup plan! Sector 6-11b is an unpredictable place, and crazy mishaps can ruin a well-thought out plan! Always plan ahead! Always have a backup plan to fall onto.

• DON'T accept unlabeled drinks or chems from anyone! It could end poorly for you, and your career!

• DO make sure you've got a buddy to back you up. It's always good to have someone who's got your back when things go sour. Who knows, they could just save your life someday.

• DON'T even think about using magic! Magic is dangerous and unpredictable! If you do choose to explore magic, might as well call you a Magicer instead of a Spacer!

• DO your best to stay on people's good sides! If you don't, you could end up with a whole posse out to get you!

• DON'T, by any circumstance, bring your ship to Port Lux, the Hub of activity in Sector 6-11b, and more specifically, the Ruthion Minoris system. It could be hijacked, shot down, SAIL-hacked, or you could get banned by the local Fat-Cat Owner of the Town, Gib Saxon!

And that's it for the Do's and Don'ts of Sector 6-11b. Hopefully these basic guidelines keep you out of a whole mess of trouble!

Chapter 2 - What to do when Danger Strikes
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Danger is around every corner. It's a fact of life in the Ruthion Minoris system, and the entirity of the sector. And there's a few good tricks to keep from, survive in, and even avoid it completely. Making friends with would-be assailants is a good way, but it's hard to do. Another way would be to just try and keep from making locals mad. It's the best way, and comes with the incentive of making good pals in the process. Or you could just set yourself up with a crazy effective loadout for dealing with combat situations. Cloaking, heat sensors, mines, Sub-automatic arms (With AP rounds specifically), and quick-to-deploy traps are a big part in survival if you get in a fight. Also, invest in a shield, and several deployable barriers! (Disposable ones preferably. Cheaper, and less costly to get than repairing a portable one.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 3 - DANGER! Factions!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everyone's got goals and motives here on the lawless frontier. And by all means likeminded individuals are going to band together to make groups, or Factions, as the local populace refers to them to. All vying for power, all with a goal and something to prove, and some that just exist to have a reason to tote a big gun around! There's never a shortage of Faction Action in Sector 6-11b! And that's exactly why the chapter title says 'DANGER'.

Joining any faction is a serious commitment. It's not fun, it's not safe, and it could definitely cut your career off quickly if you're not cautious. It's better to keep your adventure-hungry nose out of all that faction business, but feel free to still talk to them! Nothing's stopping you from making connections!

Ruthion Minoris' largest Settlement, Port Lux, is no stranger to gang wars and large-scale Faction skirmishes. Superweapons and kill-squads are surprisingly common nowadays. All the better reason not to get roped into it. Better off trying to make that big score, Spacer!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 4 - Culinary and Cultural Delights
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Port Lux isn't that bad most of the time. When you're not surrounded by warring groups, there's always time to enjoy the food and hotspots of the town! Foods of all kinds find their way to Port Lux, so there's always a new exotic snack to gorge your ever-constant Starving Spacer Gut with!

Then there's cultural hotspots and places of interest! Like Port Lux's Shrine, paying homage to a Hylotl Deity of some kind, and the Dojo paired with it! Then there's more fun places, such as Port Lux's luxurious beach, the Local Inn, The "Good Time" Club, and many other interesting locations!

It's Always Sunny in Port Lux! Get out there and see the sights!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 5 - Friends in Uncanny Places
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anything can happen in Lawless space. I mean anything! You could be anywhere and make friends with anyone! And that's an important part of survival in the Ruthion Minoris system. Without Friends you could end up alone without anyone to lean on when you miss out on a big score, or get caught in a shootout with nobody to call out for when you're in your time of need. Don't be shy, and don't hesitate! And make sure your first impression is as good as it can be. Friends. Are. A Spacer's. Best. Friend.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 6 - Worthwhile Investments
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's anyone's guess what could happen to you in your escapades to find your big score, so always have a contingency plan. First step!

CLONING

Cloning is an iffy subject in general, but every Spacer willing to risk it for the biscuit shouldn't have to make that life their last! Get a cloning deal set up so you can hop right back into action the next day! But do take into consideration the cost of cloning. ...Though with the ability to risk your life for bigger scores, you should be able to produce the cost of cloning by selling all the stuff you found. Especially you treasure-hunter types reading this!

ARMS

A reliable gun is good, but a good gun is reliable. Gonna need more than just your pa's old Phaser if you wanna survive in Sector 6-11b. The general setup many a good Spacer uses when thinking about combat is a mashup of arms. A melee weapon, A sub-automatic weapon, heavy weapon if you're that kind of guy, and a melee weapon. A machete, plasma blade, Vibro-saber, club, or even your fists works well.

ARMOR

Armor's harder to come by than a good gun. Everyone's got just as sticky fingers as you, soon-to-be champ! So try your best and find a good company or seller to buy gear from! Hell, if you're good enough you can make your own with the proper tools and materials!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 7 - Magic?! Magic!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's right. Magic. Interesting, right? Well while interesting, it can be equally as dangerous.
Magic is far less understood by us than technology, so it's better to stick by good ol' fashioned tech than it would be to turn to inexplicable hoodoo!

If you happen to see;

A. People manipulating elements
B. People Shape-shifting
C. Weapons materializing from nowhere
D. Biblical stuff like demons and angels

Then don't be quick to assume it's psionics at work! It rarely is! Most of the time it's magic!

(DISCLAIMER: This chapter does not at all state magic is in any way bad, it solely states it's unpredictability and advises the amateur or aspiring Spacer to keep distance from such practice.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 8 - Doom, Gloom, And Demons
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Demons! Creatures from Hell! They're terrifying! Well, that's a common misconception!
Most Demons taking residence in Sector 6-11b tend to be pretty docile unless messed with first, but there is the occasional angered, evil or crazy one that's hellbent on dining on your spongy Spacer brain!

Not all 'Demons' are from hell, either! There can be just as infernal species around the universe with similarities! Consider them rare aliens more than anything, unless they explicitly state "Yes, that is me. I am a hell demon." Then be wary. Hell demons eat Spacers.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 9 - Leaving Your Legacy
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now here we are. Near the end of the guide. This chapter means more than any other in the entire book.
Every Spacer, regardless of who they are, wants to leave a legacy behind. Something for people to recognize them fore. Something worth being called
Legendary. But that's not something a dumb book you found in a waiting room can teach you. Not even this dumb book. Only you alone can forge a future for yourself that's truly great. Whatever you believe in, whatever you believe is gonna be your 'Big Score', go for it. And don't look back. Push for that goal and never give up. Every fledgling Spacer reading this guide's got potential to change the entire system. Hell, even the entire universe. How you will, however, is all up to you. It doesn't come from reading a book, or following your gut. No way. It comes from the heart.

Follow your heart and do what you believe is gonna make you great. You'll have your ups, and your downs. You'll fall down, but you're gonna bounce right back. It takes determination, and i'm sure that if you were working hard enough that you picked up this book to find ways to improve yourself, then you've got the determination already. Because god damn this book is boring to read through.

Stay strong. And if you don't ever find that Big Score, you've likely already left your legacy. In the friends you've made. People you've changed along the way. Places you've impacted, and the choices you made. You're all legendary already, but your legend's just beginning. Get out there and put it into motion!
