CITIZENS (roleplayers) OF PORT LUX!
Greatness awaits.

The Ministry of Knowledge will soon make good use of the deserted Aether facility. Very good use.

This event will begin this week, and will, most probably and preferably, last for more than a week to allow for interesting developments.
During the event, a group of Miniknog-themed characters (soldiers and scientists), led by general Arnel Yegor, will occupy the Aether facility for their own mysterious and bizarre experimental schemes...

  • During the event, the characters present at Port Lux might witness strange events as side-effects of the Ministry's experiments...
  • Any non-Miniknog characters killed by the event characters (Ministry soldiers, scientists, Ministry-bred mutants, Yegor himself, etc.) will be revived for free, by the Miniknog, as mutants. Such mutations will transform the affected characters into feral and twisted versions of themselves, an effect that will last for 48 hours after the transformation itself. There is no available or possible cure, besides a single syringe posessed by General Yegor.
  • Characters captured by the event characters might also be turned into mutant versions of themselves, an effect that will also last 48 hours.
  • The roleplayers whose characters will have been turned into mutants will get to decide of their mutated character's looks and abilities. However, event members will contact you personnally to inform you of the limitations and rules your mutated characters have to be created with.
  • Miniknog characters that are killed can be revived only once before permanent death. This doesn't apply to General Yegor, who has no revives. Only organic Miniknog characters benefit from this single-use revive card, and the revive cannot be used before 24 hours after death.
  • Since the Miniknog characters operating the Aether facility are, in some cases, utterly insane when it comes to bioengineering and genetics, revived Miniknog characters will always return with vastly different physical characteristics and abilities, sometimes as an improvement, sometimes as a disability.
  • The event will end if the Ministry characters have to retreat from not only the Aether facility, but their secret base of operations hidden somewhere around Port Lux too. If they are forced to retreat, they might return after further preparations, causing the event to occur again at a later date.
  • If General Yegor is killed, the event permanently ends.
  • The event features multiple stages of different threat levels and story developments. Consent will be asked before event characters attempt to capture, attack or involve your character in any way.
  • If anything about the event feels unclear, unbalanced, or undesired, please contact me through discord. My discord is lp#6776. You may also inform me if you want your character to never be involved in the event in any way. In that case, your character will never be attacked by mutants or Miniknog characters, but you must also stay true to your request, and not try to benefit from your event immunity by attacking the event characters out of the blue.
  • The event will probably begin this week, when enough event characters are available at once.
  • Treat this as a game, because after all, it is a game. The goal of the event is to have fun with wacky Miniknog experiments, and allow your characters to be brave/stupid without having to fear for their death.
  • Please note that this forum post is strictly OOC, and has been made to inform the roleplayers, not the characters themselves, about the event's broad details. Don't metagame.

UPDATE: yegor will probably get a "revive" as a mutant form if he is beaten too quickly (within the first week), in order to step up the event difficulty, and possibly turn him into a raid boss for the event's final stage. If Yegor isn't killed within the first week, I'll probably scrap that idea.

Considering literally any time he’s on people swarm aether to gank him that’s probably a good policy for now at least.
