Originally known as "ILoveBacons" (hence our web address), what started as a small Starbound community has grown into a thriving gaming collective. We're passionate gamers who believe in building lasting friendships through shared adventures.

From our humble beginnings exploring the vast universe of Starbound, we've expanded to multiple games while maintaining our core values of friendship, fun, and fair play. Though we've evolved into "The Bacons," our love for both gaming and our quirky bacon-themed identity remains stronger than ever.

Habbo Hotel Origins

~2010-2011

ILoveBacons began as a fully Portuguese Habbo Hotel server, 2-3 years before Starbound was even released. Though primarily Portuguese-speaking, some English-speaking players also joined our community.

Instant Starbound Success

2013

Bacon made the strategic decision to jump into Starbound, recognizing it would see huge success. ILoveBacons nearly instantly became a hit - one of the biggest servers after just a few months, even despite Starbound being full of critical server bugs causing daily, even hourly crashes.

Terraria Adventures

Early 2015

ILoveBacons expanded into Terraria, offering players another sandbox world to explore. Though this venture was later discontinued, it showed our willingness to explore new gaming frontiers.

Albion Online & The Guild

2017

Our Albion Online presence quickly gained massive traction using the guild name "The Bacons" - a name that would eventually be adopted as the official identity of our entire community. We also launched our on-and-off Minecraft presence this year.

Over the years, ILoveBacons had become one of the largest Starbound servers, with a reputation for community, innovation, and welcoming players from around the world.

Palworld & OpenStarbound

2024

We expanded into Palworld, continuing our tradition of embracing new gaming experiences. Our trusted staff member Kae created OpenStarbound, revolutionizing the Starbound experience and showcasing our commitment to innovation.

2025

Today, The Bacons continues to thrive as a multi-game community spanning over 15 years of gaming history. From Habbo Hotel to Starbound, Albion to Palworld, V Rising to Vintage Story, we honor our bacon-powered heritage while welcoming new adventures!
