I have some ideas about how technology could be built to fight magic

    1)
brainwave entrainment: sounds that target specific parts of the brain could be used to take away a magic users focus long enough to shoot them with conventional weapons
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brainwave_entrainment

    2)
disruptors: assuming magic comes from another dimension you could flood that dimension with dark energy (the energy that causes the universe to expand) making all the magic particles so far away from each other that they are impossible to find

this thread is for ideas about anti-magic technology feel free to post your ideas or to comment on mine

Anti-Magic Array; A device that uses inherently magical materials and advanced technology to produce and EMP-like effect, stripping magic users of their powers while they remain within it's effective range.

Ruin Songs; Music that when played, disrupts a magic user's more arcane thoughts, making it insanely hard to focus on magical abilities, and also decreasing the accuracy and stability of any spells that may be cast within earshot of the device playing the Ruin Song.

Null-Charges; Grenade-like items that directly attack the source of a mage's spells. If a mage uses life-force for magic, they will receive massive damage to their soul, and rarely, may even permanently lose some magic ability. Expensive, but can be extremely useful against any sort of mage.

Anti-Mage Ammunition- Bullets filled with small amounts of Erchius crystals, as well as Aegisalt and Ferozium. These bullets, when entering a mage's body, will completely nullify their magic abilities for a short time. These can also pass through magic defenses like wards, unless a mage bolsters their defenses specifically for these bullets, which would take a large amount of focus and arcane aptitude.

Infused Violium- Violium infused with arcane energy, turning the usually purple material an extremely dark violet color. This new material dubbed "infused violium" absorbs magic around it like a black hole, effectively nullifying arcane projectiles and attacks. Although inherently arcane, this material could still be useful to those who are against the use of magic, if they are willing to be a little bit of a hypocrite. Can be forged into armor to allow for a 100% magic resistant suit of armor. One con about this material, is that it is EXTREMELY heavy, and grows in weight immensely with more magic it absorbs.

I love this thread and everything about it. Having a tech that can stand against Magic as a whole would be amazing, especially for one of my characters. What if robots could be powered by magical crystals? Maybe not powered, but have it at it's disposal. A robot that could cast a magical field around it, and that field could absorb magical energy and send it back at the enemy.
